Green Fodder(Barley) for animal feed

Hi

Does anyone on this forum have any experience or knowledge in growing fodder for feeding sheep? I have seen some large scale commercial systems and would like to implement my own system copying this idea.

As far as I know, NASA has been doing lots of research in that field (well actually protein rich crops for human consumption as wheat).

Why don't you share what you already found about those larger scaled systems? It would be interesting on one hand to see it, and on the other it may be very useful to deduce important things that are needed for a smaller scaled "copy".
