Cucumber help

5 Attachment(s)
Hey All,

Im growing cucumber plants out of an aerogarden. It wasnt out of choice but a guest of mine put some seeds in there and i've just continued to let them grow ever since. Ive been getting a mix of issues with both plants where the tops seem ok and are flowering but the bottoms are doing pretty bad. Which would lead me to believe its a nutrient issue. the problem is, no matter what i try it continues to spread one leaf at a time. (slowly)

As for nutrients I've been giving them a 4-3-6 solution though i have made the purchase of this in hopes that it would help (havent used it yet).

Perhaps you can reduce the strength of you nutrient solution. It seems that you are getting a little burn. Better to be a little under than full strength sometimes. If you have one, use a EC or PPM meter to find out what your solution actually is and then adjust from there.

Did you pollinate your cucumbers?

I am growing cucumbers for the first time and I saw a video saying they will shrivel unless you pollinate them. Find a male flower with no cucumber behind it, pluck it and peel back the leaves and touch the center to the center of a female blossom with cucumber behind it. If you don't do this they will shrivel. I know there are a type of cucumber seeds that do not have to be pollinated. But I am a newbie so don't know much else that what I was on youtube.
