Hello thomas.m,
A "Static solution culture technique" is just a water culture system without the air pump. The words "static solution" refers to the lack of water movement and circulation you get from the rising bubbles in a typical water culture system.

I would google "The Kratky Method"

Yes, "The Kratky Method" is another phrase used to describe the same thing (a water culture system without a air pump). I even wrote a section explaining The Kratky Method as well as water culture systems in detail on this page: Water Culture System

No mater what you call it, a water culture system is a water culture system. There are only 6 types of hydroponic systems. Every hydroponic system there is, is either one of these 6 types, or a combination of 2 or more of the 6 types. If you understand what makes these 6 types of hydroponic systems different and how they work, you can identify any hydroponic system in seconds.
