Update:
So my PH in the NFT is still rising to 7-8 and my PH in the test bucket is holding at 5.5-6.0 which is what I want in the system. So I am going to clean it and try again..sucks but don't see any other way. I just don't want this to happen again. I just wonder where this stuff came from..? I don't really have the option of filtered water in large quantity. I will check around but at the grocery store there was nothing like that. Besides small gallons at 3-4$ each.
