Heat stress is defiantly possible. A lot depends on the verity of strawberry's your growing. Some are more tolerant to heat than others. Some varieties even prefer at least some shade. If the sun is to strong you may want to use some shade cloth. Also the water temperature will cause (and/or contribute to) heat stress. I wrote this article about
