pollination

I have lots of squash pollen and i was wanting to use it to pollinate othere plants. is a squash and watermelon the same types of plant and where do cuccumbers fall in? also cantelope. cantelope looks like cukes? i have cukes growing but no cantalope and have been dragging my butt on bring in a pollinator bug. I pollinated my water meoln with squash pollen hoping it would be right and did some cukes as well. just not finding athe pollen in the flowers for et cantalope or cukes but the cukes seem to be polinating them selves. i think i have on idea what i'm doing wit these plants since its the first time i have had them in the green house. idid mangae to get one watermeon going but have no idea how that happened.
