Talking got my first HPS system

yup went and did it ,took the big step to hps
its 400 watt, the plants are growing like gang busters
hopefully in 2-3 weeks we will have ripe tomatoes [rutgers]

update 30 tomatoes,,12 green peppers,, and a whole bunch of blossoms

worth their weight in gold



yup a bit of snow outside
the last big snow storm we only had the chimney sticking up
the snow was up to the roof line
defiantly not hoop house weather LOL



but the tomatoes are lovin the 400 watts



the window racking

as soon as I figger out how to do thumb nails ill down size the pictures

Wow, lots of snow and the plants look awesome! Guess I will quit complaining about the showers we are getting now. Spring has not yet sprung in the Pacific Northwest

And what HPS light set up do you have?

ya just 1 400 watt bulb on an open wing
driven by a sun systems adjustable ballast [400/600]
the room is 7'x10' and the 3 walls and ceiling are flat white
a little over crowded but it works great
cant wait for the great out doors to warm up a little

its like boxing in a phone booth
no room to move
I will be working out there Saturday moving tomato starts into the basement
unless I take pictures from the out side threw the glass
