Default I want to grow large plants

I want to grow large plants (2-3 feet tall indica) using net pots filled with grow rocks, set into a PVC grow tube. I am either going to use a deep flow technique (ebb and flow inside a tube) or airoponic using misters from Water Rite Products. My questions are: 1)Will 4" PVC, with 3.5" net pots inserted, provide enough support for a full sized plant? 2)For both airoponic and deep flow; will there be difference in growth rate between using 4" and 6" PVC pipe for a crop that is harvested every 8 -10 weeks?
Thank you for your time,

4 inch pipe is big enough for root room but seems like 3.5 inch hole would be tight fit in a 4" pipe so I would use the 6" pipe for more room. But remember the bigger the garden pipe the bigger reservoir to pump more water to your garden.
