Default Plain or padded radiant heat blankets?

Any thoughts on grow labs versus padding out your own space for growing plants? I have seen some nicely priced radiant heat blankets at MOVING BLANKET Quilted Blanket Material Roll, `~`~`S BY THE DOZEN, `~`~`, American Made Moving Blankets, Plastic covers
which offer a padded blanket backing to the radiant reflective material reflects which is supposed to reflect up to 97% of the radiant heat (like grow labs), but I have also heard that blanket padding can cause uneven light - any experience with this? They also sell radiant material on a roll.
What I like about the blankets is that it is good for protecting plants outside as they are waterproof and washable, but what are people's experiences like when growing indoors and covering a room?
