Default grow rocks

Ron, Help!!! I have 500 strawberry plants coming soon. How do I plant them. I have done a 1 gal. system before to grow tomatoes. Any other ideas? What about medium. I'm afraid grow rocks will be too expensive. Thanks...Greg

Hello Greg
I have a half dozen strawberries that is just now producing fruit. I have them in grow rocks in one gallon system but I don't think they need that much root room. I am going to try to grow them in 2 liter bottles with the 16 oz Solo cups.
I haven't tried any medium but grow rocks so I can't give you much help on the success of other mediums until I try them my self.
I will be building all kinds of hydro gardens this spring to put on film. I will post pictures as I complete them.
Ron
