Newbie to this forum and to hydroponics

Just wanted to say hello to everyone. This is my first post. I am really needing some answers to some questions.
I started into hydro about 6 weeks ago. I started with two DWC 18 gallon tubs and 2 days ago I completed building a 7" vertical tower.
Currently, I am growing beans, tomatoes, squash and pumpkins. I have two pumpkin plants that are traveling from their tub and are about 6 foot down my back yard.

My question is about strawberries. I bought 4 plants that I plan to place in my tower. My understanding is that it is best to water them every 15 minutes and off 15 minutes. During the night hours turn to water on a couple of times just to keep the roots wet. Does that seem to be the correct method of doing stawberries, or am I on the wrong track?
