system used in conjunction with a fish farm
I'm new to this, and have great interest in this system as I'm a disabled Vet. and have 1/2 acre behind my home I could play with.
My question, can this system be used in conjunction with a fish farm, using no chemicals, just the water/waste product from the fish, and recycling the system? Rick |

Yes but you can only grow low nutrient plants like lettuce and basil. The problem with an Aquaponics system is that plants like a pH under 6.0 and fish like it over 8.0 so you have to compromise with a pH of 7.0 That way you can piss off both of them.
I will be showing soon on how to build a small low cost aquaponics system that members can experiment with. |
