Default bibb lettuce question

My buttercrunch lettuce is doing fine, cant keep up eating it, but it doesn't form a head, I'm assuming because its loose leaf type. If I were to plant Bibb seeds would they form a head like the ones Ive seen in the stores, and other professional hydro setups?

I don't know how tight of a head your hoping for, but from what I can tell Bibb lettuce is a fairly loose leaf lettuce as well. It's not like iceberg lettuce where you get nice tight heads. But as long as you provide the lettuce with the right growing conditions it will grow the way it's supposed to.
