Default Reverse Osmosis water for our plants and fish

We have been using Reverse Osmosis water for our plants and fish and have experienced trouble due to the inherent acidity of the RO water (pH 5.8). A company recommends using mined silica clay. What is it and where do I get some? I was told: "There is also another product on the market now that is supposed to work wonders with RO water. It is actually a mined silica clay that contains 72 micro-nutrients". Any comments or suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks, R. Mara rmara@blazenet.net

A pH of 5.8 is to low for fish but is perfect for plants. pH is the problem when trying to do both.
