Let me know how the beans go.
I would think your going to be fine with your current setting, but you might want to try giving them just a little more Oxygen time.
As for tomatos...I just worry about doing them indoors unless you have a greenhouse, or a really tall ceiling, because most tomato plants, especially done hydroponically..will get Very tall. So, you have to figure both room for lighting AND possible 6'-10' tall plants.
I'm currently doing lettuce in my 11 plant setup..and I can harvest everyweek from the plants...enough for probably 8 dinner side salads. So, I'm pretty happy with it.
and I'm doing the 30mins on 3hours off.
