Dateline -- Pipe Dreams Hydroponic Systems today announced ...

The completion of hydroponic systems for the biology lab and greenhouse at Fisk University in Nashville Tennessee. Dr. M. Gunasekaran head of the biology department at Fisk U found the small home hydroponic gardens made from recycled 2 liter soda bottles well suited for his research.
Professor. Gunasekaran said " I found Ron's web site on the Internet while looking for hydroponic systems to use in my NASA research on the effects of algae on plants.. The modified gardens, Ron built, will allow me to control individual rows of plants for my research.

Pipe Dreams Hydroponic Systems was formed in 1992 by Ronald Hancock as a hydroponic testing farm to see if it was possible to grow plants commercial from recycled two liter soda bottles, bleach bottles, and other household containers.
With the lower cost and rising popularity of the Internet Ron taught himself web page building and went on line in early 1996 to make available what he had learned to the public.
Ron says. "I try to keep up with the latest technology which isn't easy on a farmers salary but I know the Internet is going to be a big part of the future as a link between ordinary people around the world exchanging ideas about hydroponics and discovering that yes it is as fun and easy as it looks."
