i have a 20 bucket system set up and when my buckets drain they were still sitting in about an inch of water, so i raised them all about an inch and 1/2 so they wont refil. I really just wanted to know if it is safe when the roots grow out the bottom if they sit in that water or do they have to be completely dry? thanks d

I use an eight plant flood and drain system with a three and half gallon bucket of nutrients.(miracle gro, calcium and magnesium) When I make my nutreints about every five days I like to set my pH balance around a 5.8. The first and the second day I need to lower my pH ballance. (using pH down) but around the third, fourth and fifth day I would need to riase my pH balance. (using pH up) I dont have a EC,PPM,or even a TDS meter and my question is. Will I have to add more nutrients to my mix during the third, fourth, or firth day my pH balance lowers? (Do I have to raise my EC,PPM,or TDS?)

I AM HAVING TROUBLE GROWING HYDROPONIC CUCUMBERS IN MY BASEMENT. THE ROOM TEMP VARIES BETWEEN 72 AND 76 DEGREES.THE MEDIUM TEMP IS 72 - 74 DEGREES. I AM ALSO USING A HD LIGHT. THE PROBLEM IS THAT WHEN THE CUCS GET TO BE ABOUT 2 - 3 1/2 IN. THEY JUST WHILT AND DRY-UP. THEY ARE FED GROTEK FUSION "GROW 1-0-2 AND 0-1-2 AND MIXED AS DESCRIBED BY THE MANUFACTURER. WHAT AM I DOING WRONG ? ALSO THE PLANTS ARE GETTING 12HRS. OF LIGHT AND ARE FED FOR 30 MIN. AND THE DRIP LINES ARE THEN OFF FOR 4HRS. I WISH TO THANK YOU FOR THIS WONDEFUL FORUM.
