This sale is for a GORGEOUS 1931 PHILCO MODEL 20A, \"BABY GRAND\" 7 TUBE, BC CATHEDRAL RADIO.
As seen in the photos, the radio\'s cabinet is in beautiful original condition. We obtained this great radio from a radio/TV repairman, who owned his own shop in Connecticut, for 37 years. (he never completed the restoration due to bad health). The clean chassis has been partially recapped - see photos. (all electrolytics were replaced), all weak tubes replaced and any bad wiring replaced. The original cloth covered AC line cord is still intact and in very good condition. The dial illuminates beautifully and all function knobs work smoothly, as they should. The grille cloth is original and in great shape. All knobs and labels are original. The radio powers up but all that is heard is a hissing out of the speaker. Again, we are not radio experts, but we were told that it should be an easy fix to get this great radio working. The tube layout is; 24, 24, 24, 71A, 71A, 27, 80.
