The case has a fine finish with crazing or fine crackling from age, see photos. Below a moon phase dial, the gold plated filigree is beautiful, a silver \"chapter ring\" with numerals is worn silverplate, see photos.

The brass movement has been oiled and keeps excellent time. There is a brass original pendulum, crank and two weights. The hour is counted and strikes the half hour as well on a resonant chime tube. Lower glass in the door is beveled on this American made antique furniture.

Size is 23 1/2\" wide, 15\" deep and 7\' 6 1/2\" tall.

This clock needs to be \"set up\" when delivered - weights and pendulum attached and the case leveled. Most of our customers can do this as we walk them through the fairly simple steps by phone. The process is not very difficult, and it is also nice to know how to do this again whenever the clock needs to be moved for cleaning, painting or whatever. A few customers prefer to hire a local clockmaker at their own expense to make a house-call and set up the clock, which is usually not very expensive, depending on your location.
