Nice Authentic Native American flatbow/quiver/arrows :
$75.00

Nice American Indian Flat bow, on theback of the bow (the side that faces away from the archer) it is very nicelytilled and shows real tilling knowledge and skill. I am not sure what type ofwood it is, but it has a very good staining job, they worked in aknotin the wood that is really well done, the bow hasno chips scrapesor unusual wear or markings. Some of theprimative tooling marks are left on thebow intentionally.

Whoever made thisused real sinew for wrappingthe arrow fletching and arrow heads (nice touch that makes it feelmore authentic). Bow is 47 inches long and has a leather handle in great shape, written on it is draw weight at 43 pounds, and looks like it is marked for a 17inch draw, which is dead on correct for this style of bow. Bow has unidentifiedfeather attached on top of bow in good shape, the feathers for the fletching is aboutas beat up as they usually are, and quiver feathers are not pristine and showwear. Arrows are sinew bound, with one obsidian arrow head, the other threearrow heads are of unknown stone, although one may be really old flint, all arehand knapped, and one is a blunt bird/small game style arrow head. The knappingis not as good as the bow tilling, (which is really well done). Two of the arrow heads are curved inwards, but that may be because those two arrows heads are side knocked. Arrow and bow quiverare period correct and has some brass bead work, and hand dye work with acouple antler and brass buttons on it. There is a leather fringe to break thequivers outline. Overall a very authentic Native American flat bow and quiver kit.

Iam 100% sure that this is not an original, the brass is not aged enough, thearrows are not knocked, and it is in much too good shape, plus the bead work on close inspection does not appear to be porcupine quill or period glass beads.Someone with realknowledge and skill put a lot of time and effort into making this. I neverchose to string and draw this bow.If you have never blown up an old bow inyour hands, this would be an ideal place to start. Having done that with severalother old bows I did not care much about, I would very strongly recommend that this bow never be strung orshot, please treat it as a wall hanger. That said this is a great example of what archery was for tens ofthousands of years. Please send me anyquestions you have, preferably at least a day before this item closes, happy hunting.
