~ Set 6 Antique 19th Century Carved Oak English Tudor Style Dining Chairs ~
Very attractive set of 6 English Tudor style carved oak dining room chairs, c1880. Older restorations. Red velvet upholstered rear and seats. Oak has a \"bleached\" color finish. Set includes 4 sides and 1 arms. Carved squared finial tops, tapered reeded columns with acanthus floral collars and block feet with lower stretchers. The arm chairs having fully carved cherub with serpent bodies supporting the arms. Sun fading to rear of some chairs upholstery (see photo). One chair with loose back at seat supports. Chairs measure 19 X 48 for sides & 24 inches wide at arms X 51 inches high for arms.
