\"HOOTIE THE OWL\" Primitive Rug Hooking KIT or PATTERN on monks cloth or linen:
$38.50

This listing is for a complete rug hooking kit designed, assembled and sold by Sharon Perry. This kit which is suitable for the beginner or seasoned rug hooker comes with the following:100% wool fabric cut in #8 (1/4\") strips
A color photo of the finished piece along with a color key
Pattern drawn on a lovely cotton monks cloth
Easy to follow rug hooking instructions
Cotton binding to finish it off once you have it hooked If this is your first project the only other items you will need are a rug hook and a frame to put your piece in. I started off with a quilting hoop and did several rugs on that before spending more money and getting a floor frame. I think you need to determine whether you like a hobby before spending a ton of money on it. As for the hook, I have always used a Moshimer hook which normally retails for around $14.00 and you can choose the option of adding one for the low price of just $8.00 if you purchase this kit. If you\'d like to purchase the pattern only you can choose it either on monks cloth or linen in the drop down box at checkout. This kit when completed measures 10 X 11 inches and would make a great table accent, wall hanging, trivet, table centerpiece, or pillow top.The owl is hooked with some lovely hand and mill dyed wool colors and the background is done with my own dyed blue. For a finishing touch I added a border of two rows of primitive fall plaid. Any questions please email me and thanks for taking the time to look at my item. To see how easy this craft is to do just google Primitive Rug Hooking. There are several video demonstrations on U tube.
