Stamp reads in five lines:THE

MAKERSAlso just above the end cap at the bottom
of the reel seat is stamped:
\"TOURNAMENT\"
Accounts are confusing as to the timeline of these stamps
but from what I have read it would indicate early 1900\'s.
Any help from experts out there would be appreciated.
Also pat. dates are Sept. 3, 1878 and Oct. 26, 75.
This rod is in great shape and \"APPEARS\" to be original. Please
see photos for further condition. Reel seat is dirty and has some dents.
Weight of rod is 5.4 oz.
Comes with Orvis soft bag and hard plastic case.This is an Estate sale find so history is not known.
