Designed Specifically for Hurricane Wind Power the new Red Heavy Duty Wire Wound Resistor is designed for dumping excess energy from 12 volt renewable energy systems. The diversion load resistor is used in conjunction with a charge controller to regulate DC Power systems. These resistors can be wired in parallel to increase the wattage that may be dumped in a particular voltage bank. While not needed as can be seen in photo number 3 these resistors have vent holes in both ends which with the use of fan forced air can be configured into a heater. These resistors become very hot and in no circumstances should be mounted to wood.
