1 rooted Jiaogulan, Immortality Herb, green tea, starter plant, organic. I took these photos myself on July 14, 2016. Photos 1 and 2 are of the mother plants that I have and I grow them in pots to take inside for our cold zone 5 winter here. Photos 3 and 4 are samples of the plants I send out, I send out biggest plants first. Zones 8-10 outdoors, anything lower bring inside as a potted plant in winter, I am in zone 5 and I just bring inside. I take out of pot for shipping.
I add this herb to mostly anything I cook or you can even eat the leaves raw or make a tea out of them. I cook them and they do not add a taste that I can tell to my food, but they sure do add some health benefits.I do not use pesticides or non organic fertilizers on anything on my property.I ship out same day or next day, you should get item pretty fast.
Praised as “The Herb of Immortality” in China, Jiaogulan (Gynostemma pentaphyllum) is a climbing vine of the cucumber/gourd family, believed to contribute to a long and disease-free life due to its powerful anti-aging effects and possibly the widest spectrum of health benefits of any plant known to science.The inhabitants of the high mountains of south central China have been using Jiaogulan for hundreds of years as a general health tonic and rejuvenating elixir. They have been drinking it daily as a tea before work to increase their endurance and strength, and after work to relieve fatigue and promote good sleep. The census revealed extremely low incidence of cancer, senility and other serious diseases, and an abnormally high percentage of people living to 100 years of age in certain villages in south central China.
Jiaogulan is used forhigh cholesterol,high blood pressure, and improvingheartfunction. It is also used for strengthening the immune system, increasing stamina and endurance, increasing resistance to environmental stress (as an “adaptogen”), improving memory, and preventinghair loss.
