Hi. Thank you for visiting one of my sales.
Up for offers is new 12" sniper. The sniper has a clear collection chamber, and 3 nozzles.
All my hand dredges are built with simplicity of desgin in mind. All the hand dredges I build are simple in design, simple to work and work very well. Here is how the Sniper gold sucker works: You place the nozzle end in the material you want to suck up, pull on the handle. Then you repeat until the collection chamber is full.To empty, you simply loosen the wing-nut on the plug that seals the collection chamber. As simple as that. No check valves to get jammed or stuck, you just do not need them.
Two things gave me the idea to make this gold sucker. One was an older prospector friend who said that when he cleans out cracks and crevices, he needed a shorter gold sucker so that he was not having to jump up and down all the time to clean out a crevice. The other thing was watching a video called "Cleaning Out Boil Holes." I realized that a shorter gold sucker would be perfect for this sort of application.
Here is how you use your Sniper. To adjust the seal on the plunger, you pull up on the handle and tap it against the pipe cap that is at the top of the barrel. This cap is not glued on. The plunger will come out of the barrel and then you adjust the plunger seal by either loosening or tightening the wing nut. Once you have the plunger seal adjusted, you put the plunger back in the barrel. You just screw on the nozzle, and place the nozzlee into a water filled crack, crevice or boil hole. Then pull up on the handle. The material falls into the clear collection chamber. When the collection chamber is full, you loosen the wingnut, and empty.
