1275 Austin Healey Sprite or MG Midget BMC engine motor:
$3199.00

1275 BMC A Series engine. Fresh rebuild, this motor has not been run. New pistons, cam, aluminum head, aluminum flywheel, clutch, water pumpand bearings. The engine has high performance head studs. I built this motor for a Lotus Seven project about 8 years ago and never installed it in the car. I am tired of moving it around. I cannot remember what rods are in the engine, so just assume stock rods, but they are probably at least prepped. The engine was stored in Nevada until about three months ago when I moved to Pennsylvania. I measured the cam lift at about .329\" which would be consistent with the Elgin 70-9 grind, a hotter street grind that would run on pump gas.
I have since attached pictures of the bores in the engine using my recently acquired $16 Chinese made bore scope. The mirror was too big to fit in the spark plug hole so I took as much as I could. The pistons are +.020 AE pistons, dished 8.8:1 compression ratio. As you can see from the pictures, the machine marks on the piston tops and the cross hatching on the bores are fresh. The stuff on top of the pistons is the storage spray used before the motor was stored.
I checked with a reasonable shipping company and they can ship the engine on a pallet from Pennsylvania to Phoenix for $300 door to door residential pick up and delivery with a lift gate on both ends. The price would be cheaper if shipped to a commercial location with a loading dock of a fork lift. That should give you an idea of shipping costs.
The part alone are worth the price. Make me a reasonable offer.
