Gold Eagles with this obverse style and in this denomination debuted in the autum of 1795. The obverse features Miss Liberty dressed in a conical cap.
The reverse features the Heraldic Eagle, a modification of the Great Seal of the United States, which was used on other silver and gold coins of the era.
