1870s B&H Iron Horse Painted hanging lamp slant shade:
Up for sale is a beautiful hand painted white opal glass shade for an early oil or kerosene hanging lamp. Very delicate thin glass, wavy swirly and crude, looks hand worked, slant side form. The shade measures 14” across the bottom, 5 ¼” tall, 6 1/8” across at the top outside edge, 5 5/8” opening at the top, fire polished bottom edge and rolled over top edge. Early shade, ca. 1870s for Cast Iron Horse or library kitchen hanging lamp. Wonderful original hand painted log cabin scene and red line trim in the manner of Sandwich or Mt. Washington. The condition is great, no chips, cracks, or stains, colors and paint are vibrant and complete. A fine early lamp shade, will look great on your hanging lamp!!

For larger & heavier items to high rate zones, expect Parcel Post shipping. I pack carefully, and the US Mail Service is great, packages are rarely lost or broken. I generally insure anything over $100 against loss/damage or very fragile items, just in case. Let me know if you have a problem with your delivery.
International buyers: Buyer pays shipping costs via US Priority International Mail. Small packages under four pounds can be shipped at the First Class rate at a significant discount. However, the Post Office will not insure them against loss or damage. I normally include that option on the invoice. Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer’s responsibility upon receipt. Please check with your country’s customs office to determine what these additional costs are before offerding/buying. Delays in the mail are typical.
