I take your satifaction, AS A BUYER, VERY SERIOUSLY! If there is any problem with this item you have purchased from me, I want to hear about it FIRST, before response is left! So that the problem can be resolved. MUSIC offers a 1890\'s Buckbee or Dobson 5 string Banjo. By the design of the headstock this is identified, as either Dobson, or Buckbee. 38 tension hooks. Has steel strings on it, for its age it should have gut or nylon strings. Detuned at this time. The neck has a bow, measure .019\" with my guitar neck relief dial indicator. 17 fret neck, with a blank space at the bottom. 1-1/8\" nut width. 11\"diameter synthetic head. The four friction tuners on the peghead look original, the fifth string friction tuner looks newer. The hardware, hooks, nuts and lugs all match, and all look original. The bridge gives it a lot of string action height. The tailpiece is someones fabrication, not the original. The dowelstick looks newer to me, with a homemade angle adjuster at the tailpiece end. 35\" long overall. Restore, or put on some nylon strings, and play it like it is.
