This is an 1:6 scale about 14"x7"x7" LxWxH model of the 1896 Ford Quadricycle produced by the Franklin Mint in 1996. The frame is black, the seat is a dark green, and the tires are white. The chains and belts are all there and move the brass gears and pulleys with ease. Upon comparision to the blueprint provided the ignition switch on the "dashboard" is not intact and that is the only thing that appears to be missing and is otherwise in excellent condition. There is a removable cover to view the fully detailed battery compartment and "make- and -break" ignition systems. This model is nothing but precision and is a true work of art, with beautifuly intricately made pieces. Some of the parts are even in gold and copper electroplate and I know that there are over 100 parts to this model according to the paperwork. This model comes with all of the paperwork and sold for $295.00 new back in 1996, it even has the Franklin Mint tag still attached, .I am sorry to say that I do not have the original boxes that it came in. This would make a great Christmas gift for that "hard to buy for" collector, and is a must have, so don't let this one get away! Buyer is responsible for shipping.
