Beautiful horn for sale
A man named Ernst Albert Couturier was an awesome Trumpeter soloist who could play SIX octaves and lived from 1869 to 1950 -a \"Consultant\" to Frank Holton and Company for the period 1908 - 1912. Holton is still in production in Chicago and provides all documentation for their instruments. I believe this Cornet (#18077)to bea 1912 model - 102 years old - asHolton produced #15950 to #20806 during this period of time.All ofthe instruments that he supervised had his name engraved on the BELL of the horn. The horn has it\'s original finish in Silver and Gold with a few smaller pieces Gold plated to enhance the look and finish.This horn will play both \"B flat\" and \"A\"keys (wide bore)when other pieces are changed out that are all part of this package - even Two Mouthpieces - one referred to as a \"Sgt Pepper\" mouthpiece - all original. Even the case is special with Satin lining and a fitted grip for the instrument to \"Float\" in while in the box, along with individual straps and cubbies for the extra parts that go along with this fine instrument.Ithas already been restored by a professional to make certain all parts work as intended.
