I recently acquired my great grandmother’s rod, and am hoping to sell it. I’ve done some research and here are the specs: The rod is a Montague \"trunk rod\" manufactured for portability and use while traveling. It packs up well and is very tidy! It is composed of 5 pieces, each measuring 19” long, and measures 7.5’ when assembled. No information is written on the rod or stamped on its reel seat. It comes in a box with a Phillipson label, but it is not a Phillipson rod. It also comes with a grove-fitted case and cotton bag for protecting the rod during transit.

UPDATE: The rodis infair condition -- my great-grandfather bought it for my great-grandmother in the hopes that she would become as smitten with fly fishing as he. But alas, she never used it. But someone did: there isa crack in one of the ferrules (metal connecting pieces), some wear to the grip, and a dent to the winding check.
