1927 the Gibson L0 acoustic guitar amazing condition playability and tone:
$3700.00

Thank you for examining this item!We are thrilled to be offering an incredibly rare 1927 \"the Gibson\" L0 guitar. though this instrument is 89 years old it is in amazing condition! It has been gone through by world class luthier Butch Boswell and was given a top evaluation. no structural issues, no cracks or seperations. The neck is incredibly straight and playable.
The entire guitar is Mahogany and as a result has n incredibly warm tone and a voice that is focused and much bigger than it\'s physical size. the guitar is incredibly light and weighs in at 2 lbs 15 oz.the only issue is the Low E tuning peg shaft is slightly bent ( you can see this in the picture)The only other guitars of this vintage I\'ve seen are fit for a museum but not very playable. This one has very low action 7 excellent intonation. The only real wear is the on the to where a pick or fingernails would contact the top.there is a slight bow on the top from the bridge but it does not affect the playability or structural integrity. This has been verified by Butch. Here is some info I found on these models.offer with confidence as this is a truly remarkable and one of a kind guitar!GIBSON L SERIESDates of manufacture: 1926 to 1933The Gibson L-0, introduced in 1926, was (along with the L-1) Gibson\'s first production flat-top acoustic guitar. Both the L-0 and L-1 were made economically: lightly braced, with thin woods and finishes. This light construction gave them a great tone but also made them less robust to wear and tear. The Gibson L-0 originally had a spruce top and maple back and sides, from 1928 onwards the top, back and sides were mahogany. The 19 fret neck originally joined the body at the 12th fret - this was changed to the 14th fret from 1932 onwards.Although the L-0 was a production model guitar, they were hand made and there was considerable variability in the specifications - making it challenging to authenticate a genuine L0. For example the scale length varied from 24.5 to 25.25 inches and the neck profiles and top thickness also varied widely. This seller is a full service music store and we typically sale a few items each month to reduce inventory.
