LabelledEugen Meinel, Markneukirchen, Germany, 1928, Reproduction of Antonius Stradivarius, Cremona, 1725, and branded,Eugen Meinel, Markneukirchen.
Violin is in goodcondition. XR Roths in good condition tend to retail from $8000 to $12,000. Eugen Meinel is a trade name that was used by the Roth firm to increase imports into the USA. I did take this violin to 2 local violin shops and they both said this violin is in good to excellent condition.
Original pegs and beautiful finish. It does have some small scratchesand had one seam on back that was fixed but does not effect the quality of the violin. The fingerboardis showing some wear from being played. It willneednew strings. It is being sold with it's original case.
Picture #9 - that is the label inside - I could not get a good picture of it.
