1930\'s L. C. Smith & Corona Flat Top Portable Typewriter Glass Keys: $299.99
Stunning design meets lasting quality. This antique typewriter was made in the early 1930s when Smith-Corona introduced the new flat top style. Unlike many Smith-Corona typewriters, this very early version has a removable ribbon cover featuring an emblem of the Smith-Corona logo, instead of the unadorned back-hinged ribbon cover design of later flat top models. This vintage typewriter’s “Smith-Corona” name celebrated the first new portable typewriter manufactured after L. C. Smith & Bros. joined with Corona Typewriter in 1926. It was designed as a tribute to the combined styles of L.C. Smith\'s office typewriters and Corona\'s portables.Details: • Height: 4 ½ inches • Width: 12 ½ inches • Depth: 11 inches• Manufacturer: L.C. Smith & Corona Typewriters Inc. • Model: Portable Sterling (non-tabbed version) • Type: Manual • Black gloss finish (slight chipping, but excellent for its age) • Black glass keys • All keys and functions seem to be in working condition, but I have not tested writing anything with it. • Print Size: Elite (12 Characters/Inch) • Case included LAST PICTURE SHOWS THE PAPER GUIDE IT IS DETATCHED THE SCREWS ON BOTH SIDEARE MISSING THE GUIDE IS JUST SITTING IN PLACE
