This 1931 Eureka BB-28 Deluxe, Baby Bugatti pedal car, voiture a pedale, tretauto, is inrestored condition. Eureka first introducedthe BB-28 (BB = Baby Bugatti) in 1928. These pedal cars were designed by Ettore Bugatti, the famed builder and race car driver. Eureka was 1st licensed to buildthe BB series pedal cars in 1925 with the BB-25. The BB-28,model pedal car was made for5 years, from 1928 - 1932. Each car is date coded. This car is coded9 - 31, which means built in Sept 1931.The BB-28pedal car was offeredin a standard model with options and a deluxe model, with deluxe options.By the time 1932 came around, Eureka\'s total pedal car production was a mere 22,000 pedal car, for all of its models.These BB-28 Deluxe version pedal cars were produced in a very limited amount, due to the time it took to hand build and paint them. Unique features to this model car are, removable hood, spring front suspension, floating rear suspension, working hand brake and lights and front fenders that turn with the wheels, just like the street version Bugatti cars. These BB-28 pedal cars are actually a baby version of the Bugatti race car for that period of time.
