Up for sale is a 1938 Kalamazoo kg 14...Spruce top..Mahogany Neck / Back and sides..in very playable cond...original case.....no serious damage....1/4 in action at the 12th fret....everything seems solid......lots of checking and play wear....new strings...plays great...gounds awesome...perfect slide jazz/blues guitar..think Bobby Johnson.......this is what he used....sounds just like the recordings...USA only....Thanks----------Please Advise.....the nut and bridge are changed...they appear to be bone...A huge improvement..Please dont offer if you looking for a MINT 1938 guitar.......this is not it...I keep getting offers to sell now outside of sale for $750-1000....
reasons being...ooh the nut and bridge are changed.....or the frets need work or the neck must need a reset....because the 1/4 in action at the 12th.....from what Ive learned 1/4 is very acceptable on these guitars...they were mostly used for slide blues style...I play it with chords no problem...and no notes are dead...so i believe there is alot of life left.......the bridge could be shaved too...........please only offer if you are SERIOUS about the guitar....it plays good as is....does it need work?....maybe...I never touched it...been fine for me...
