1939 Duesenberg Coupe Simone
It's a doozy, or is that Duesey? This 1:24 scale die-cast automobile was manufactured for Franklin Mint Precision Models, crafted in China. I have neither the base nor the clear plastic enclosure that I assume accompanied this car. The car is in outstanding condition.
The front wheels turn with the steering wheel. The two doors open, hinged at the front. The rear luggage/spare tire compartment opens. There is very little room for the luggage. The hood opens to show a finely crafted engine and compartment in the front. After careful analysis, I was unable unable to find fault with this model. However, after reading the "Operating Features", a section in the "Owner's Manual", I realized that the "fine hood ornament" was missing.
I DO have original paper work. There is an "Owner's Manual", which includes sections on unpacking, "Operating Features" and "Exterior Detailing". There is a "Die-Cast Model Schematics with sections on the "Driver's Compartment Layout", "Nearside Engine View" and "Offside Engine View". An additional document, "Duesenberg Coupe Simone - The Emmett-Armand Story", provides a romantic tale of design history, delivery to 1939 Europe and betrayal. The last page of this brochure is a "Certificate of Authenticity". I do NOT have the styrofoam shipping module in which the car
The car was a gift to my father-in-law when it was new and was displayed on a shelf in his office.
I prefer to use USPS for shipping and the package would originate from the 66207 zip code. Delivery fees are determined by Buyer location. Because I can find no additional shortcomings with this vehicle. I will not accept returns.
