Up for sale is a rare professional 1940 Conn 26M-VIII \"CONNQUEROR\" alto saxophone. All keys move freely and the pads are in poor to fair condition(needs a repad for optimal playability).These are some of the nicest feeling Conn\'s ever produced. They have adjustmentson almost every key, soyou can reallypersonalize them. These are amazingsaxophones due to their immense amount of engineering. There are no majordents present and several minor dings don\'taffect playability. The micro tunable neck is in good condition, with no signs of pull down and it has the roman numerals \"VIII\" engraved on the socket. This alto saxophone has minor scratches throughout and lacquer wear isminimal, with approximately 90% of lacquerintact. The serial number is in the upper 289,0xx range, which dates manufacture to 1940. Included is a well used Conn wood shell alto saxophone case(the handle and one latch may need to be replaced soon) and a clarinet can also be stored inside the case. There is no socket cap included.
