REX NEW ROCHELLE PRODUCTS CORP. NEW YORK

DIAM. = 19 mm

the buttons on thephoto made by the company REX PRODUCTS CORP. The company was located in thetown of new Rochelle in the state of new York. The company was a supplier of the U.S. army and produced forArmy buttons and other accessories. During the war was engaged in themanufacture of buttons for supplies to the USSR.

Lend-lease (from theEnglish lend — to \"lend\" leaseand \"lease or rental\") is a state program in which the United Statesof America, mostly on a Pro Bono basis, was reported to his allies in theSecond world war ammunition, equipment, food and strategic raw materials,including petroleum products.

But it turns out.. theAmericans in this program were transferred to the USSR many other useful things, including even thesoldiers \' buttons!! . They are the most common: star, hammer and sickle, juston the other side is written the name of the manufacturer in English. Thecompany was one of the main suppliers of the U.S. army. During the warcompany was aslo engaged in themanufacture of buttons for supplies to the USSR.

Don\'t be surprisedprice. These things have an unusual destiny. In the early 1970 was liquidated one from army warehouses 1938 in Leningrad city. These buttons were stored in wooden military boxes . These buttons were also meant to be disposedas metal scrap.

Since the end of WWIIpassed a little periodand such things had no price in the minds of the peopleof that time

The father of myfamiliar person participated in the dismatling of these warehouses, andcarried in his backpack and a few hundred of these buttons. All this stuff wasstored for 50 years in the private garage.
