Introduction: I am a collector of vintage American made guitars from the 1930\'s to the 1960\'s. The collection includes Gibson, Martin and Guild guitar brands. Over the past nine years, I have sold approximately 20 vintage guitars on and the UMGF; to customers located in the USA and Canada (and one in France).
Customers have all been very satisfied. Most of my seller response is for vintage baseball cards.
From my response record you can see all positive responses by looking in my seller response history.
Examples of guitars sold in the past few years with seller response can be examined for details left on these dates: 4/11/2013; 3/16/2011; 12/04/2010; 3/16/2010; 2/03/2010; 6/28/2009Guitar models sold over 7 plus years include: Martin D-18\'s, Martin 0-18 and wartime 000-28 Herringbone plus a 1950\'s Brazilian Martin D-21;
Also, Gibson J-35\'s, J-45\'s, J-50\'s, Southern Jumbo\'s, LG-2\'s and LG-1\'s and LG-0\'s and two Guild D-50\'s. THIS is a Script logo 1946 GIBSON J-45; it has original finish with normal checking for a 1940\'s era vintage Gibson. There is a center seem crack repairs in the top - this rare mahogany topped non-Banner looks to be book matched vs. one piece top. There two repaired back cracks - one has been cleated. the other is very tight. In addition, note a picture of a 3rd crack repair in the lower bout. There is also a bass side crack repair pictured. No FON (factory order number)

Truss rod works and action is nice with no buzzing. There are 12 pictures showing the good features and the \'warts\' of this guitar; they represent an important part of the description so be sure to study them closely and ask any questions if you have them. I have owned more than a dozen Banner war time/Script J-45\'s and sound wise this falls in the normal standard for a Script Gibson J-45 - which means it sounds awesome. NOTE: I have never heard or owned a bad sounding mid 1940\'s J-45. They all are excellent sounding mahogany bodied guitars.The Brazilian bridge looks original and may have been re-glued. The pickguard, tuners and finish are original. The bridge plate is maple and looks like a replacement. Braces appear original and are glued tight.The neck measures 1 3/4\" at the nut and is a good sized C-profile. The bone saddle on the bridge is a replacement and has good height.The Truss rod works.The vintage open back Kluson tuners look original.Set up and playability: The guitar sounds very nice and it plays very well with action set just right.
Minor fret wear; some wear in Brazilian fret board. String height measures a little less than 1/8\" on low E string at 12th fret.
The guitars plays fine with it\'s full \'C\' neck profile.Case: It comes with an older non-original hard case that keeps the dust off and is fine for storing and easy personal transport. A touring musician
would want a more substantial case.Returns:The guitar may be returned for refund with the understanding all shipping and insurance costs - both directions are paid by buyer.
This guitar willreasonably meet the details of the words and pictures that are all part of this listing. If description is substantially not accurate, then seller will absorb the shipping both directions and makes full refund. Please note that I work very hard to describe accurately and you should expect it to arrive as described and to meet your reasonable expectations. If the guitar is damaged in transit, then a claim must be filed with carrier to obtain a refund.

Shipping: Seller will choose shipping by either UPS Ground or FedEx Ground.Pricing: A good original 1946 J-45 is selling for upwards of $7000 and more. This is substantially less with a great sounding cool mojo to it. Thanks for looking and questions can be directed through the portal. I will respond promptly.
