Another interesting item from my dad\'s candy warehouse. Perhaps designed to be a bathtub toy this 12 plastic boat comes in two pieces and various colors in their original boxes. This one is white and light Blue with red tipped smoke stacks. The reason I know it was meant to replicate a famous ship of the time is that the description of the SS United States is embossed on the bottom of the boat.....see pics. The SS United States was our first Super Liner and on one of it\'s first Trans-Atlantic voyages broke the crossing record by over 10 hours.I suspect it was a Curtiss Candy premium but have been unable to verify that. There is no marking on the box or ship to verify my suspicion. All I know for sure is that is was made by B.W. Molded Plastics out in Pasadena, CA. My suspicion of it being a premium comes from the location of the item in my parent\'s garage and the fact that it was there that my dad first had his Curtiss Candy warehouse.
