Alright, here\'s the story...
My grandfather lived just a few blocks from Yankee stadium in the Bronx. If he couldn\'t make it to a game, he would go up on his apartment building\'s roof to watch as you could see right into Yankee Stadium. Well, he took my cousin to bat day in 1957 and got this regulation-size bat for Bat Day (back when every kid got a real bat and not those miniature dildos.
When I was given the bat, this is what it looked like. You see, grandpa worked for a famous Bronx mobster and from what I can piece together from my late grandmother\'s stories, the bat was kept in the trunk of his car and I guess it got a workout as an... \"enforcer\" or sorts when someone owed money or got \"out of line.\"
I don\'t know how true this is but it is pretty messed up. There\'s some odd, black stains dents, scuffs and dings. The logo is still pretty bright but a little chewed up.
The markings say \"Air Seasoned Superior S313 Selected Stock\" and \"Special League.\"
I guess if you\'re a true Yankee fan, or mobster fan, you might want this bat. I\'m only selling it because I\'m moving and need the cash. It holds no memories or meaning to me. I have a ball signed by the entire 1957 Yankees team for that!
