SEARS 1959 CHRISTMAS BOOK.
I know the cover is not the best, but it has been used, just as I used to pour over these as a kid, and wish for almost everything in the book, but realizing that Santa would be bringing me only one think, so I better choose wise. But, oh for the dreaming.
Dolls, Plush toys, trucks, cars, farm sets, action toys including remote control airplanes, mechanical toys from Japan, Tool chests, Erector sets, Christmas Ornaments, lights, etc.
Games, Cowboy toys, holsters, guns, submachine gun, trains, tractors, pedal toys, tricycles, bicycles, ---even household goods galore. Even early Televisions and radios.
Best of all, Shiny Brite ornaments, lots of Christmas ceramic items from Japan, Visca and other artificial trees, bubble lights, and other wonderful Christmas electric items.
I think the American U.S.A. plastic and glass ornaments are my favorite.. many of which we also purchase as little kids from the local Sears store in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.
Some of the first Italian ornamens to appear in catalogs, and wonderful wire-wrapped ornaments again from Germany.
AND LET'S NOT FORGET ALUMINUM TREES. AND EVEN COLOR WHEELS ADVERTISED TO GO WITH TREES.
Clothes, fashions, and the list goes on and on. I was always impressed with the illustrations of Christmas ceramic items, and other household items,,, and always so fascinated with the jewelry styles of the day.
