This is a 1960 Allis Chalmers D12 Serial # 2234. Tractordata shows there were only 4079 of this made from 1959 thur 1969. The starter went bad on this one several years ago and it just sit in a pasture field since it was'nt needed anyway. I finally put on a new starter just to find out that rain had got in the cylinders and stuck the motor. The motor could be rebuilt with new sleeves and pistons, but I'm not going to do it, so here it is. There is no rust in the oil pan.The reserve is set at what it would bring at the scrap yard. Its got a good frontend and transmission. Brakes, clutch, rearend,and PTO works good also. Sheet metal has dents and a few cracks in the fenders, gas tank is bent up and rusty on the top. There is a lot of good parts here including a new $250.00 starter. One back tire is aboutlike new firestone11.2x24 the other oneholds air but is dry cracked.
