1964 Rickenbacker 325 / Rose Morris 1996 - Beatles:
$9000.00

Up for sale is a really rare and very nice 1964 Rickenbacker 325 Rose Morris 1996, serial number DG 357, in its original and unmolested Fireglo finish. The original case is included. No damage history. As can be seen in the photographs, the electronics are original. This is one of only 24 made in 1964. Exceptionally rare!
This particular 325/1996 has a one o\'clock sound hole, which is perfect for the July 1964 manufacture (changeover from the 2 o\'clock sound hole began in May 1964). John Lennon\'s guitar was dated in April 1964. It is just like the one John Lennon used in Miami in 1964 when he broke his main 325. Ringo now has John\'s Fireglo 325.
I bought this guitar in Japan years back. It\'s in really nice condition, especially considering it is 51 years old. It still has all original parts on it, including the single line Kluson tuners, and all other hardware and electronics. There is no damage to speak of. The neck is straight and the frets are good. It sounds great through my 1964 Vox AC-30 amp.
The only fault I can find on this guitar is that someone, at some point along the way, added a strap button to the heel. Hardly a big issue, but worth mentioning Please keep in mind that this guitar is not new, so it has normal signs of careful use and storage here and there. As you can see from the pictures, the finish itself appears to be not at all faded. I\'ve always kept this and my other guitars far away from UV light, thankfully.
Please see the pictures of the body cavity with the cool factory markings; the electronics (pots dated 1964); the Pat Pend tailpiece; a good shot of the body; a picture of the knobs (the pick guard was removed when I opened the guitar for pictures); and a picture to show it still has its single line Kluson tuners. What a cool guitar this is.
Please offer with confidence. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. If you\'d like to see specific photos, please let me know and I will happily add them. I will do my best to respond to any questions every evening. All sales final. Thanks for looking!
As an objective point of reference, this guitar\'s price is based on the latest Vintage Guitar Price Guide, which places the value of this guitar between $9000 and $11000. Note, the asking price is at the lowest point of the price range, though the guitar is really very nice. Please see the last picture for this information. Thanks. Still don\'t like it? Make me an offer!
Finally, regarding shipping, I will charge actual shipping costs with no mark up. But I won\'t know how much that is until I have a destination. Thanks.
International buyers welcome, but will be responsible for shipping costs!
