However, our reserves are very reasonable. Mostof our engines have sold either on the first or second listing. We will NOT end the sale early and we do NOT have a buy it now price. If you need this engine, here is your chance – don’t miss it.
Shipping: This engine can be picked up in Springfield, NE, which is just south west of Omaha, NE. If it needs to be shipped, I get a major discount with UPS Freight (a division of UPS) and will certainly pass that pricing along to you if you so choose. Or I will deliver the engine to any of the major carriers located in Omaha free of charge. If the engine is shipped, I will build a completely enclosed box with a pallet type bottom for $50. Trust me, the box will impress you and will get the engine to you safe and sound. Over the past few months, the charge for shipping a complete engine to the east or west coast has been averaging $350 using my discounts. Cost varies depending on destination and other variables. For some gas money, we can deliver this engine to our vendor space at Corvette Carlisle in August if paid for in advance.

My partner and I are a two man company that provides the correct engines for early Chevrolet restorations. For 30 years we did almost exclusively Corvette engines but have now branched out to the Chevrolet collector and muscle cars of the ‘60s and early ‘70s because of the demand. We are in our mid sixties and are supposed to be winding down so we only do 50 or so engines a year. I am a retired mechanical engineer and my partner is a retired dealership service manager. We have both raced Corvettes for 40 years and have held several national drag records. We have 200+ blocks stored away in a number of old buildings – enough to keep us busy until we “really” retire. The company name is “HiPerformance Restoration Inc, we incorporated in 1980, we are located in a small Nebraska town near Omaha, and we have shipped engines to most of the Continental United States, Europe, Canada, and Australia.
