1967 Gretsch Viking

This guitar has a custom Matt black finish, with a waterslide decal of a rockabilly 1950s pinup girl (if you do not like the decal it can be removed with warm water) 

the pick ups are not original for this year of Gretsch but they do sound fantastic. 

The pick up selector switch and tone control switch function as they should as well as the volume controls. 

the electronic mute switch on the bottom has been bypassed and the string muffler and floating bridge original to this Gretsch Viking has been removed at some point. 

The body has been stuffed with foam to assist in response control. (Foam can be removed as it is just placed inside)

It has new Gretsch tuning machines that are chrome but not gold in color like the rest of the hardware. 

Bigsby is original as far as I can tell so is the space control bridge which has been attached to the guitar and is not movable. 

The pick guard is not original to the guitar. 

This guitar plays really really well for its age and sounds incredible. 

There is some cracking in the paint on the headstock front and a minor chip but it does not affect the playability or structural integrity of the guitar. 

the body on the guitar has slightly rounded edges around the entire guitar to make more comfortable to play. 

I think the paint job and the custom look is just incredible

If you are looking for an original untouched Gretsch Viking this is not it. 

this guitar is a bit of a hot rod but nonetheless it is a Gretsch Viking. 

like I said it has been customized please look at all pictures before you buy because once you buy it 

it\'s yours.

According to the serial number this guitar was built in August 1967
