1967 Ideal Tubsy 18" Baby Doll-Such a Happy Girl:
1967 Ideal Tubsy 18" Baby Doll-Happy Girl!
Sheis stamped 1967 Ideal Toy Corp. BT-18 2 on her back, and has rooted goldenblonde hair, with no missing hair plugs- hair still retains some ofits shine, and I would say in very good conditon for theage. She also haslarge blue eyes with long curled lashes (all there), rosey cheeks, and an open laughing mouth showing 2 bottom painted teeth and a tongue. Her head is vinyl and her arms, legs, and body are hard plastic-hands and feet are nicely molded and articulated, and she hasbent baby legs. She has a tiny pink mark on her forhead, but you can barely see it- I almost missed it when looking her over, but otherwisehasno other stains, scuffs, ormarks on her body, and all of her fingers & toes are there. She has a battery compartment with cover on her back, which requires 2 D batteries, and when she is put in water up to her tummy, she is supposed to splash the water with her hands, but whether she works or not I don't know because I have no D batteries to try on her. So you would be buying her as is, and if she does work, then that would be an added bonus for you. Her head wants to tilt to one side, andbobbles easily, I'm thinking this is the way she was made because ofher neck socket, and her head certainlyis attatched securely otherwise. She comes with the vintage 60's clothing shown in pics-the sunsuit I believe went to Chatty Cathy Baby, but itfit her sonicely and looked socute, that I decided she should have it. Okay, guess thats about all I can think of to mention, but if you have any morequestions, I'll be happy to answer- I'll answer emails within 24 hrs at the latest. Doll is sold as is.
